PROUD PARENT OF 22 CHILDREN RAISES AWARENESS OF ADOPTION

Harrisburg, PA October 31 2008 Rejoice! Inc. Foster Care and Adoption Agency will host its 6th Annual Earth Angel Awards Gala on November 13, 2008 at 5:30p.m to help create awareness of adoption.

“November is designated as National Adoption Awareness Month to remind us that thousands of children in the child welfare system are still waiting for the right family to come along.” says Tanya Williams-Bell, Co-founder of Rejoice! Inc.  She is the proud parent of 22 children, 16 of which are adopted. Both her personal and professional life reflects her passion and commitment to children and families.

Rejoice! Inc. hosts the Earth Angel Awards Gala every year to honor those in the community who continuously invest in the lives of children.  Honorees include Lew Davey, vice president with Sovereign Bank, Bishop William Jones Jr., senior pastor with Reclaim the Streets Ministries, Butch Romanoski, program director for the Dauphin County Family Clinic, Reverend Ron Tilley, executive director of Firm Foundation and David Waters, former executive director with the Pennsylvania Minority Business Development Authority.  Several other foster and adoptive parents will be recognized that evening.

Rejoice! Inc. is committed to increasing awareness among multiracial communities and changing the way the nation looks at minority families, teens, siblings and children who are out of the foster care system.  Both the staff and the families they serve are diverse, representing various backgrounds and ethnicities.

The proceeds of the upcoming Earth Angel Awards Gala will benefit Rejoice!
