A message from Tanya Williams-Bell

Welcome to Rejoice! We are an agency blessed with love. It has been a joy over the years to share that love with our children, families and friends of our agency.

The saying “We are our brother’s keeper” has special meaning for all of us at Rejoice! I personally think about how my uncles took this to heart when my father was killed in the Vietnam War. They made sure that my mother, my sisters and I all stayed together as a family. I value every moment they took to mentor, discipline, love, direct and embrace us.

Many others have stepped forward as my uncles did to keep families intact. You, too, can make a difference that will always be remembered.

Imagine the impact you might have 70 years from now if today you helped out a foster or adoptive family? What if you adopted a sibling group from the child welfare system and kept them from being separated? How about caring for a child with mental health issues or helping a teen parent and her child stay together? What if you fostered a child from birth who experienced a rough start in life? What if you helped a birth parent by encouraging them not to give up even when they doubted their own ability to parent?

No matter how you choose to help, it will be a win-win situation for everyone. It is rewarding to help and rewarding to be helped.
